Court Rules Against Rite Way to the Tune of $25,000

A couple months ago I posted the Small Claims case of Spruce Hollow v. Rite Way Freight Systems (home page, Facebook) one of the Marnor companies. The case was filed a year ago but a decision came down this past Tuesday. $25,000 to the Claimant with Rite Way’s counterclaims dismissed.

“The Claimant shall have judgment against the Defendant for the sum of $25,000. The sum of $23,442.00 held in court shall be paid to the Claimant. The balance shall be paid within 14 days. The counterclaim is dismissed and the trial dates are struck.”

Curious as to why the court awarded the extra $1,600 or so but I’m sure we’ll find out.
